Debut performances by Saint Joseph Ballet’s newly formed Alumni Dance Company

WHO:

Saint Joseph Ballet’s new Alumni Dance Company will perform two shows, May 4 & 5, 2006 in Saint Joseph Ballet’s Studio Theatre, and will be joined by Backhausdance on May 5

WHAT:

Saint Joseph Ballet presents the inaugural performance by its newly formed Alumni Dance Company.  Dancers will perform a new work by Artistic Director Melanie Rios Glaser in the intimate space of Saint Joseph Ballet’s Studio Theatre.  Young adults who spent several of their childhood years with Saint Joseph Ballet return to share their passion for dance and to demonstrate how Saint Joseph Ballet’s long-term commitment to at-risk youth translates into thriving, creative and independent young adults.

An Evening with the Alumni - Benefit Event on May 4, 2006

Saint Joseph Ballet creates a distinctive experience for donors and community members to take pleasure in watching the Alumni Company’s debut performance while celebrating the success of Saint Joseph Ballet’s unique programs.  This event will include a cocktail reception and performance, followed by a dessert reception where patrons can mingle with alumni and other special guests.  Tickets are $125 per person and proceeds will benefit Saint Joseph Ballet’s year-round programs for at-risk youth. 

New Dance at Saint Joseph Ballet on May 5, 2006

Saint Joseph Ballet opens its doors to Santa Ana and surrounding communities, inviting guests of all ages to enjoy performances by the Saint Joseph Ballet Alumni Company and Backhausdance.  Light refreshments served, and tours available for guests to learn more about Saint Joseph Ballet’s dance, academic and family programs for low-income youth.

New Dance at Saint Joseph Ballet – Friday, May 5, doors open at 7:00pm

An Evening with the Alumni - $125 per person

New Dance at Saint Joseph Ballet – Free of charge.  Due to limited seating capacity, advanced reservations are highly recommended.  Tickets may be available at the door for walkups, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
