Saint Joseph Ballet Announces Celebración
A Special Fundraising Event to Honor Beth Burns
Santa Ana, Calif. (April 19, 2005) Saint Joseph Ballet announces it will host Celebración, a special evening dedicated to celebrating the legacy of founder Beth Burns on Saturday, October 8, 2005.
Event Chair and Board member Yvonne Jordan has gathered a committee of community leaders and special friends to create a unique and festive party that marks the occasion of Beth’s retirement. Committee members include: Socorro Vasquez, Decorations Chair; Charlotte Russell, Invitations Chair; Ellen Reader, Cuisine Chair, as well as Joan Beall, Ginnie Hunsaker, Olivia Johnson, and Michelle Kargenian.
Celebración will be held at Saint Joseph Ballet’s studio in Santa Ana’s museum district. The elegant evening will feature a reception, sit-down dinner and special performance presentation to honor Beth Burns and her contribution as Founder and Artistic Director. This is Saint Joseph Ballet’s first fundraising event and proceeds will benefit Saint Joseph Ballet’s 2005/06 dance, academic and family programs, which will serve 400 low-income youth in the coming year.
“We believe this will be the a wonderful opportunity to honor what Beth has accomplished in building this unique and remarkable organization, through which so many kids have been helped to gain the skills to lead successful lives,” said Yvonne Jordan. “As Beth retires, this will give the many friends she has made over the years a chance to thank her publicly and to celebrate all she has done by founding Saint Joseph Ballet. We don’t stop very often to celebrate our accomplishments and acknowledge how far Saint Joseph Ballet has come. But with Beth’s retirement, this is the perfect time to recognize her achievements on behalf of the kids in our community.”
